PS As I understand it, February 12, is the date the Budapest pocket collapsed.

Would seem to be Pz.Gren.Btl.2106 'Feldherrnhalle' of Panzer Brigade 106.

January '45 both it and the 716 Inf.Div. belonged to the same korps, LXIV Korps so a very good probability the brigade or parts of it were put under operational command of the division.

I should have added that this FHH unit actually fought in the West. In Dec./Jan. it was in the Colmar pocket and was also involved in Operation Nordwind.
