I picked these up at a local auction. These look period to me. Take a look at the writing on the back -- does anyone see anything that would indicate postwar?

And the back in #3 is that of a press photo released by the 'Atlantic' press agency. Unfortunately the press scipt is missing. This style of Atlantic stamp first appeared in March 1941, so the photo is from sometime after this date.

Hi dennis,

it could be helpful:

the exact date, written with pencil on the back, is 23 May 1942.

This is also written with pencil: "2. Ausg." and "1. Seite" and "W.N.N.".

One could explain it: "2nd edition" and "1st page"

W.N.N. = "Wiener Neueste Nachrichten" a newspaper published in Vienna till Oct 1944.

May be this photo was really published there 1942 . One could have a look if we have Austrian members and they will go the the library.

there is also written with pencil : "erfolgreiche Jagdflieger" - successful fighter (pilots). May be the text under the published photograph.
