HI Chris, since nobody else wants to stick thier neck out here (and I seem to be good at it! ) I'll say somewhere around $2000 or so. I don't collect SS, so I might be a bit off.

Definitely one for the SS experts to drool over. It might be worth posting in the SS forum.


Don't know if the red arrow and exclamation marks are yours but it would seem that the KVKI refered to here is not the KVKI he was awarded. The document refers to actions from early 1942 but the KVKI doc appears to be from sep.44 if i make it out right.

history map have 12 sides and under point 4. to stand the awards,
but has anything with 1942 to do.
the KVK he got 1944, thats correctly

A beautiful collection of documents.

I'm a little puzzled by the apparent statement that he received the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold. Never heard of a man with this name receiving it (Scheibert's list is not complete, but I believe Yerger's 2 volumes on DR DKiG holders contains all "Das Reich" recipients- and Wistinghausen does not appear there).

Sorry-- Apparently I misread the 2nd to last document, which contains a list of awards (including DKiG and- I just noticed- RK d. EK)- apparently this list is not related to Wistinghausen. Perhaps a list of awards received by members of the entire unit.

I get it now- it shows the total number of all the listed awards received by members of the Kradsch.Btl. (1 RK, 3 DKiG, 800 Inf.St.Abz., only one- that IS strange- KVK I. m. Schw., etc.).

Document listing awards won with a GC is a compilation history written by Hermann Buch. Nice documents signed by Krüger (Swords), Lammerding (KC), Krag (EL) and Resch (GC). Rest I can't see well, images to small.

very nice, yes id be happy to part with 1,500 pound for these, can you post close up of eagle on the 4 year award please, and i cant see its been dated? i ask because ive also got one undated, is this common? kind regards phil.
