I have always being interested in photos of German civilian wearing his awards, of WWI/WWII but I havent seen many. so I want to start this thread with this photo.

Humberto-that is an exceptionally nice photograph. What makes it really good is the two states awards on the bar.
Unusual to an enlisted man. I'll see what i can find in the archives.....

Hi Humberto,

I'll add two WW1 veterans - I have found these in my family portraits collection. Both are wearing the ribbon for the WW1 Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse. The man on the right is also wearing a member's badge of the Nationalsozialistische Kriegsopferversorgung, a veteran's organisation which looked after families of WW1 casualties.

Now and then you see some ribbons being worn on photos, but I think awards in wear by civilians are very hard to find.

Thanks for posting this great photos! I agree with you, awards in wear by civilians are hard to find , for this reason any photo with ribbons or miniatures being worn are very welcome!!!
