    c1942/Generalmajor von Stockhausen signature?

Does anyone recognise this signature? To me it looks like Generalmajor von Stockhausen, but I could not find anything anywhere about a Generalmajor von Stockhausen?? Thank you very much for your help and interest. Cheers, Torsten.

first up a pic of the entire dedication in the Generalmajor's hand:

His son Hans-Ludwig served with the 1. Kav.Div. and later 24.Pz. Div. He wrote the book "Erinnerungen, Ritter, Reiter, Russen", about his time during the war and the POW-camps in Russia. In this book is also the family-history, his farther's career etc., picture's and letters he wrote with his father, your Von Stockhausen, and his brother RK(53 rd)-tr******228;ger Hans-Gerrit. It's in German but a must if you're intrested in 1Kav./24 Pz, the Germans during WW2 or just the Von Stockhausen-family before and during the war.

I've been trough it severall times now, and still keep re-reading it.

Thank you for the book information. Sounds like a fascinating story. The thing is, I have a couple of photos of an officer named v. Stockhausen. I even have one of his "calling cards". I would like to verify if he is related at all or even the General in question. The "calling card" has him identified as a Hauptmann und Batterie-Chef im Feld-Artillerie Regiment 70. Here are a couple of pictures...

....and the other picture of v. Stockhausen. I think he's the one with the Polizei dagger and wearing the overcoat. The guy he's putting the coat on has an early aviator's insignia on his cap.

The man on the picture's you show is not the Hans-Adalbert von Stockhausen I'm talking about. He was a Hauptmann with the 43. Infanterie-Ersatz-Brigade in 1914. At the time he was a Feldkommandant in the Balkan(1941) he was already 67 years old. There are severall picture's in the book, and they don't match.

Hi Ypenburg, could you show some scans or photos of the pic in the book that you have and could you also show a pic of the cover of the book? Cheers, Torsten.
