Wanted to show todays pickup at the Wilmington, Ohio OVMS Show (usually held at Ft. Mitchell, KY)!!! I added the medal, packet, and ribbon bar just for looks. If I have my information correct, Grenadier Regiment 413, 206 Infantry Divison. I found this on Lexicon:"Developed on 15 October 1942 by the infantry regiment 413 and the 206. Infantry division subordinates. Developed on 15 October 1942 by renaming the infantry regiment of the 206. Infantry division" Is the date on the document (24.7.1942) the day of the award ceremony or did he earn the Ost medal on this date?? Any idea on the signature?

The date is when it was awarded. I'm not sure if there was a presentation ceremony for these (like with the EK) or if they just handed them out.
Nice doc!
HankUnless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

As Hank says the date it when it was awarded...on paper. ie. in the relevant unit orders. The doc in this case has been filled out sometime after October 1942. If the signing hauptmann can be tracked down then you could narrow down when.Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
