    Some from my latest set

    Hi

Here are a few scans from reprints I had made today from a set of negatives I received yesterday. Some very nice images and I was surprised how well some of the prints turned out given the condition of some of the negatives.

    Cheers

Next two are from what looks like to be a radio position. From the relaxed stance of the group I would say probably not near the front.

This one was from a very poor condition negative.

            #6 Unit markings.

I had a quick look but could not find the bird like symbol. Anyone recognise it?

The other fender tells all. II./Art.Rgt.71, an independent heavy artillery unit.

You couldn't ask for a sweeter and easier ID for the unit emblem.

Another from a set of negatives.

Could not find another place to post it.

I concur with everyone else... very nice shots! Looking at the content of the photos, you'd never know the men belonged to an artillery unit... not an artillery piece in sight. Rather, the men seem to be employed as infantry.

                            Good stuff!
