Panzer Knights Cross winner Albert Dressel

    Hi all,

just got that pic out of his family. His name is Albert Dressel, he was killed in the west in ยด44. He was also at Stalingrad.
Iam not a good research guy and so I would appricate any help in finding some goods links to him and his unit.
I think he also served with Feldherrnhalle.
I would be also interested in the value of the pic, it has a small crack in through the middle.

    Any help would be great.

    Many thanks Jens

    Hello
Here is what I have :

    DRESSEL ALBERT
    DoB : 15/09/1914
DoD : 08/09/1944 (the Volksbund site gives the 10/09/44 for his date of death)
    Last rank : OBERFELDWEBEL
    EK1 : 20/11/1941
    DKiG : Not awarded
RK : 13/10/1942 as Fw. in 3/PZ. ABT. 160 (60. INF. DIV. (mot.))

As for the photo value, it would be interesting to see the reverse. Is it signed ? If not, and provided that this is a period photo, I would say between EUR 30 and EUR 50.

    Hope this helps
    Regards
    Denis

How do you identify what is on a German dog tag? Do they use a serial number? Name?
