negative glassplates...Help

I was offered a set of negative glass plates in lieu of a bogus SS portrait I purchased about four months ago. The seller is trying to do the right thing and has offered me some of these. They are portrait shots of HJ, RAD and Freikorp(?) members. Early Nazi portraits in any event.

What exactly are they? How collectible are they? What would they be worth - so I can judge this trade? Finally, would anyone here be interested?

I've seen these for $25.00 and up each. They're sort of collectible--again, not mainstream but they're nice for the right person. I'd buy any SA and BdM or JM shots from you if you wind up with them.

Very very nice images. I am not a portrait collecter but I wouldn't mind at all having these images in my collction.

Thank You for the replies so far. I hope I am not getting anyone too excited, as I do not have them yet. The seller told me he had a collection of 250. Perhaps I can work out a deal with him and we can all be happy.

Again, I am not 100% sure of what he is offering me, only that he has them and is willing to part with one, some or all as a trade for a bad SS portrait he sold me.

very nice.. as a photo collector, i find these very appealing and the 20-25 a shot price isnt too far off (i last paid 17 for a couple of SA ones). because these are glass, they break easily and thus are becoming harder and hard to get

Well,

He returned to me. He just informed me that the negatives are mostly from SA company 82 in Northern part of Berlin.

It seems he took them to the Berlin Archives and they made him an offer. My German is not the best but I think they offered him 3000 euro. He thinks they are worth much more than that. I don't know if that was for the whole or even part of the collection.

Way out of my league. If anyone wants I can continue the dialogue with him...
