    Downed LA7, and....

I was looking over some pictures tonight and noticed something in this picture of a downed LA7 (LA5?) Notice the fellow standing at the tail of the plane and his right arm.

Al its a brewster Buffalo, most probably Finnish but I'm not into paint schemes that much.

you rold LA-7 and La-5 are quite different

Is that a TDB on his arm??

I think you might be correct. I looked at the long nose and figured it must be an LA5/7, but from the pic you posted the tail is all wrong for an LA.

As for the TDB, it sure looks like one IMHO

          Al,

Did you pull the pics? I don't see them, but I'd really like to. Can you repost them please? Thanks!

That appears to be a belly-landed Sukhoi Su 2 ground attack aircraft.

What am I missing on the guy's right arm?

              Lyn,
Very well observed! I have never seen an SU2 before! Its weird when you see things that don't fit in, like the nose cowling looking longer and the whole aircraft being elongated etc. but you still accept as being something else, I suppose if you don't know something exists your mind choses what else most closely fits the profile!

Lynn, good job with the ID I have never seen one of these before either.
