    Danish SS postcard

Bought this postcard from a forum member for a reasonable price. It has been stated in previous posts this is probably a postwar re-print from an original negative, this could be the case, but the details are amazing and very crisp. The postcard is not reacting to UV light.
Looking for any original items related to Danish W-SS volunteers

    Hej Søren

Jeg har set et billede magen til hos en fransk samler.
Personlig tror jeg der er tale om kopier af en original
    Men fedt billede ellers

        Max:

Swedish is my second language, not Danish, I think this is Danish.
Anyway, a rough translation woud be:
"I have seen a photo similar to yours in a French collection.
Personally, I believe it is the case of a copy of an original.
        But a (neat?) photo anyway."

That is at least the gist of the post.
        Cheers
        Bill

          Prorege,

There is no probably to it. They are not period. Crisp details, non-glowing aside the bottom line is that the photo is a well-known copy that came from a series of many other similar themed studio picture postcard copies. They have been on dealers tables since the early 90's and continue to show up on the market.

              Hej EJ:

Thank you for the nice words. I lived in Sweden 1974/1976 and my Swedish co-workers were extremely supportive in helping me to learn to read write and speak a fairly good Swedish. A bit rusty now but I can still read very well and write and speak reasonably well. After that I went to Lima, Peru for two years but all of my co-workers there wanted to learn American english instead of Swenglish (I was working for Volvo in both jobs) so I had to learn Spanish from the houseworkers and "on the street".
Just some words to explain how someone with the name Murray living in the deep south of the US could sort of translate Danish.
              Skal
