                  there's something very strange about this pic, the way the bodies are lying all in the same position, looks almost like an execution, although they are still dressed in full combat gear. Also how come there are not many pics of British and US dead from this period of the war? Were photographers banned for censorship/propaganda purposes?

                  Horrible subject though, gives me the creeps. Poor guys

                    That is how bodies look when they are caught moving and hit with automatic fire. You can see they have been searched for anything of value, intel or otherwise. Welcome to war.

                      Looks like whoever searched them was a non smoker as well, is that cigarettes on the left of the photo? I'd have thought that cigarettes would be one of the things most likely to be taken during a search.

                              Do you have a higher resolution? Is he a "Der Fuehrer"-officer. Part of his Cuff-title can be seen.
