Thanks for all the nice comments on my none respectful photo. I will end my thread with a couple from the same unit (Panzer Aufklärungsabteilung 13, and later in the war to join the "Feldherrnhalle 2")

The lot come from this girl, and all the letters from here beloved husband (soldier on this photo), is still in the lot. BUT they smell like the hair spray that my grand mother use, you know, like really old hair sprays.

not unusual to "look bad" in a photo...

It's not at all unusual to "look bad" in a photo at a particular moment.
Ever noticed how many drivers license i.d. photos are really,really bad ones?
This couple probably had a good laugh at this photo too.
There were probably other better pictures taken at the same time,as is usual.
