A scharführer is commonly equated with a British or Canadian sergeant in rank. Unfortunately the document doesn't tell what he was a scharführer in. It could be SS or NSKK\NSFK by rights it should be written SS-Scharführer or NSKK-Scharführer. Rybnik by the way is a Polish town in Upper SilesiaCollecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
