hello i bought this photograph, does anyone know who this men is and what dienstgrad he was serving in.

Hi,
I don't think anyone can help you with identifying the man on the picture; the only NCO's that are sometimes identifable are the ones with Ritterkreuz, DKiG etc, but the awards on your photo are quite common (nice pic though!).

Difficult to tell from a b/w photo as it can be seen from the color of the piping. I'd say Cavalry, because of the light colored piping (cavalry was orange) and the Reiterabzeichen.
