Please show your Werner Mölders pictures

    Hello,

I would like to see your photographs of Oberst Werner Mölders - in Germany treated like a criminal - who is my favorite fighter pilot and person.

I start with a photograph taken on june 10th, 1941, before going to the east from Düsseldorf.

    Thank you!

If Mölders is seen as a criminal, why is there a Geschwader named after him in the Bundesluftwaffe? I never heard this accusation before

      Werner Mölders again!

      Hello,

there is no Geschwader named after him. There was a Geschwader named
after him. For his participation in Spain the name was changed. In TV there were hard attacks against his person.

      Kind regards

I just consulted the Bundeswehr Luftwaffe website and sure enough, there is no longer a Werner Mölders named Geschwader. The units listed below do exist and are referenced on the website.

            Jagdbombergeschwader 31 Boelcke

            Aufklärungsgeschwader 51 Immelman

            Jagdgeschwader 71 Richtofen

            Jagdgeschwader 73 Steinhoff

That is disappointing news. From what I have read, Moelders appears to have been an honest and decent person.

                Geschwader Mölders

                Hello,

they only can accuss Mölders for having been in Spain. If they would accuss him for WW II, they would have to blot out Steinhoff as well. Steinhoff was a four star general of the Bundesluftwaffe, so they had to find other reasons for Mölders. To blot out Dietl and others, WWII was enough. If you ever ask what is typical german, here you find the answer. It is a shame!

                Kind regards

                        Hi!

There were some more changes in Germany:

Some laws have been modified: It is now strictly forbidden to say any positive word about nazis in public and there is a very heavy punishment with up to 3 years prison.

I read this today in the Sueddeutsche Zeitung.
