    Pearl Harbor Photos

    Hello,
I picked up a few photographs of Pearl Harbor from a WWII Navy Photographer's family. I believe the photographs are all orginal or at least orginal reprints from the same individual though you never can tell these days. They were cheap enough anyhow. Also, I picked up quite a few, I think their called reel photos (approx. 10" x 20") of Pearl Harbor and of Hiroshima. Included as well were a series photographs of the Japanese surrender aboard the battleship Missouri. These photos I think were reprinted onto larger pieces of film. Anyhow, sorry I don't have a scanner, but I hope the photographs come out good enough to enjoy or maybe compare to others.

    Regards,
    Steve

Now those are some nice looking pictures. I also like the one of Hiroshima. Do you maybe have a before and after shot of Hiroshima?

I have quite a few more. I wish I had a scanner so you really can see how nice the photos are. I don't think I have a before or after shot though I only bought half this lady's photos.

I don't really know how to value photos so I only bought half. I also have some Japanese post cards and a couple over other Japanese paper documents I'll post later maybe someone can tell me what they are.

They might be war time reprints. I know a guy who worked as a US Army photographer/film developer @ 1942-46. He and his buddies developed all sorts of pictures out in the Pacific and sold extras to soldiers for 5 cents each. I have the whole surrender series that he gave me. A lot of them are the famous ones, but several aren't.

                          Hickam Field

Great photos. Here's one of mine from a group of pre-war photos from Hickam Field and this one was in it and it sure looks like the Pearl Harbor attack. It's just odd that everyone seems so calm. What do you guys think?<BR>
