      Hello !

From the symbol in the first pic I agree with Aru-Ed.
3./Art.Rgt. 49 already existed in peacetime. After mobilization it became Korps unit of XIV. A.K.,
which in turn in France 1940 was part of Pz.Gruppe Kleist (which could explain the "K").

This Abt. then became III.Abt. of AR 13, 13.Pz.Div.
The tactical symbol of 13. PzDiv. was a circle with a cross in it.
This could be a match to the second pic, but it is unclear to me (too blurry).

      Best regards,

      Archi

Many thanks, this album goes to Russia 1942 including Mariupol, Rostov, Krim and Dnjepr so I think 13.Pz.Div seems correct. There is also a pic of a wiking truck near Rostov alongside this main unit which also seems to tie in. Thanks again !!

I don't believe it is "in stellung", that would be two diagonal lines running from either end of the horizontal line at the top of the sign. This one is just the normal sign for a motorised battery.

And indeed the sign of a Gebirgsnachrichtenkompanie ( Motorisiert ).

Taktische zeichen for Luftwaffe Scheinwerfer einheit, but i'm not sure?
Never seen the sign before but it reminds me of the tätigkeitsabzeichen that looks a bit the same.
On the right the Korps Kommando fahne / schild.

                    hi Aru-Ed
No this is not Luftwaffe, the license plate is "WH"
And as i wrote above, this is Armee-Korps.
I have this marking on one Kubelwagen "WH 1379434" with a general on board, and Steyr 1500 Kommandeurswagen (Kfz.21) "WH 1192144"
both with markings of an Armee-Korps.
