GREAT photos, guys! Here are just a few images of a very large and extensive photo album I have to a Panzer crew member who served in, amongst other units, Panzer-Regiment 3. These were all taken in France during Fall Gelb.


The first shows a front 3/4 view of a Char B1 wreck:

Mike I remember that photo too... I think it was a view from the rear? Definitely in France, location I don't remember though!

I'd like to share something personal in this thread. Here's a picture of a knocked out M8 armoured scout car, either in France or Belgium 1944:



My great-grandmother was, as a widow, an avid photographer and even had some rolls to take pictures during the occupation. When her town was liberated (at this time, she was working for a count as castle staff) she befriended the American soldiers who liberated the place. They for sure had one common interest: war photos. They gave her some of their pictures they had on hand and send many later from the US, showing their families, house and even pets. The above photo is one that my great-grandmother received in 1944 already.

The suffix II indicates that the tank replaces a B1 tank with the same name.
