I like a lot #78, he looked a bit shocked.
This is the only pickup for today. Just got this one and a very interesting sterbebild in the mail.
The picture shows a sleeping officer with an alter art mütze. Simple but nice IMOComment

Always nice portraits Bill!
A question that I always wanted to do you for a long time: what is the criterion for which you choose a photo? the subject, the uniform, simply because you like or else?

Usually it is something that catches my eye....the branch of service....HG, FJ, LWFD, LW Pilots, Panzer, decorations, numbered shoulder boards, Colored portraits, nice faces, clear uniform shots with details and how they pose. I also look out for photos for my best friends who do the same for me.
As you know I also have a number of other specific threads of interest that I post photos covering the subject of FJ, LWFD/Pilots, Knocked out Panzers, etc.
In the early days of my collecting I bought every photo in sight which is why I have so many common portraits....many of which I still have not posted on this thread. I scan and insert them here on occasion. This does not include a large amount of loose snapshots which are in many boxes and my photo albums (over 300) which I have only scanned and shown a few of the more interesting ones.
I usually scan and post most (but not all...I have about 30 FJ Portraits that I will not post) of my new portraits as they come into my post box.
