A couple of corrections on identification

Peter u identified the photo as:

"Hello Bill,

He isn't a NCO but a "obermusikmeister" (lieutenant).

This is incorrect. He is a senior NCO / Paymaster candidate. When he finish's his probationary candidacy he'll upgrade the boards. Note, also that senior NCO's who were officer candidates were authorized to wear Officers type collar tabs and chin cords on their visor caps.

Page 226 post 3384. Adrian id's him as a Sonderfurer, but this is incorrect. He is a Beamte auf Kreigsdauer with a Hoeherer Dienst
