Hello Mark,

Thanks for posting those Super portraits!! I probably have those two numbered Regiments somewhere mixed in with all the others (I don't file them according to Regimental numbers). I'm working through my photo holders..pulling out the portraits. I have a stack ready for scanning not including those I recently scanned and numbered in my documents folder. Those I will be posting five at a time as I go along. Here are a few more #565

Bill, excellent photos! Perhaps, if you have not done so already, I would like to see a pic of your file or storage system.

I organize mine in catagories, ie, portraits, panzer..., but that changes constantly.

My storage system is in total disarray right now.....Normally I have my portraits sorted in Photo Holders according to branch of service...also further broken down to HG, FJ, PANZER, GENERALS, AWARDS....RK DK, EK1 SHIELDS, GERMAN POW's etc. I also have single photos (Panzer, HG, FJ. Flieger etc.) or small groups of snaps stored in shoe boxes. I also have large and small groupings of photos in much larger boxes. These I hold for viewing on a rainy day or for future sales. So if you expect to see dress right dress professionally done filing system...I don't have one!! But I know where to look. Bill

Well Bill, I expect that situation to be corrected immediately!

I think I know where to look for that as well...a closet museum perhaps?

Well with all this pulling of portraits and scanning it will eventually give me an opportunity to do some organizing and sorting by category as I go along. Closets??? everything is within reach. I have bookcases where the shoeboxes are kept on each shelf along with my photo album collection....but like I said everything is in disarray. Oh by the way I also have a fairly large book collection broken into two categories...Old TR period and New reference books.

Now back to your reference to Closets...that is where I normally keep my excess field equipment and Uniforms which is where a small amount of it is right now. I also have five or six Gorilla footlockers of stuff. That is what I have here....most of my collection is in storage in the USA (Texas & Arizona).
