I think the last bit says 'Sommer 1945' or Summer 1945. I guess it should say 'Early Summer 1945'!

Hi Simon,

Where have you been....living in the Outback...hanging out with the Hobbits in the rain forest of New Zealand or maybe having a chilling experience in the Great white north????

Life is OK here in Holland....expanding my photo collection...which is becoming an expensive venture as the dollar really sucks right now.

I do get to visit my friends in Germany and Luxembourg more often than when I was living in South Texas!! Which is why I came back for one more tour. I have itchy feet again...so I may be heading to Germany for the next two years...we shall see.

Nice portrait and I would agree Father & Son. Here is pic came in today's post. I believe those in the photo belong to a GD unit....they are wearing Army uniforms...but SS Camo helmet covers. Bill
