I believe this photo shows Gen.Lt Friedrich Materna.
And I think on the extreme right is major Hamberger.

Kc Holder Materna

Hi Weinsoldner, great photo it was taken between March 1940 and Sept 1940.
And it could have been the farewell dinner for Materna who left to become a
Corps Cmdr.
If it is Hamberger then great,first name Wilhelm,Born 11/nov/1903
On 15/3/40 became Ia of 45th Inf Div(Materna)
Stayed with the Div till March 1941.For the rest of the war was in
various Staff appointments at Army Group levels.
Was promoted to Oberst i.G (General Staff)-1/10/43.

Awards. Iron Cross 1st Class and German Cross in Silver(9/5/44)

Materna at wars end held the rank of General der Infanterie.
