    Is there a German pilot called Hein Ballack

    Could someone please help me with a name scratched into my German buntmetall Assmann pilot badge. It is not easy to read but is scratched twice, once the back of the eagle and once on the wreath.

    It reads "Hein Ballack"

    All I can find out so far is the "Hein" is a Lower (Saxon) German/ Dutch abbreviation for the name Heinrich or Heindrik.

    And when I search the surname "Ballack", all I get is famous German/ South American Football players.

    Can anyone confirm if Hein Ballack is know German pilot, what he flew and where in WW2.

    Many thanks,

    Chris

    I do not think I can read his surname properly, it is a bit too faint. The last 3 or 4 characters are very hard to decipher. The possibilities are;

    Hein Ball--- ?
    Hein Boll--- ?

    Hein Dall--- ?
    Hein Doll--- ?

    Hein Pall--- ?
    Hein Poll--- ?

    If anyone has any ideas or possibilities, I would appreciate your experience, web site to search or thoughts,

    Chris
