A vehicle tactical marking for identification

    Hello gents!
A friend of mine found this marking on a wartime picture, that if I've well understood was taken in the area of Cassino.

Sorry I only have this detail at the moment.

Any idea about which unit used this tactical marking?

I've got the full picture now and further informations!

The picture was taken about 35/40 kms north/west of Cassino, in the proximity of the town of Sora by the new zealanders around May and June 1944.
The vehicle looks like from a Lw unit.

      Hello !

      As nobody answered yet :
This link has a very similar tactical symbol, referring to Fs.Art.Rgt 1 :
      http://www.wwiidaybyday.com/emblems/heer/horses.htm
It also shows a horsehead with bridles, which I think is rather uncommon.

I am aware, that it is in the opposite direction and that Schmitz-Thies shows a different symbol for this Rgt.,
but its Luftwaffe and in general, the location should be possible for this unit.

At least, there should be enough fotos available of this unit, to check.

      Best regards,

      Archi
