Well I would be very suspect of it! A Kompanie level Feldpost number on a Divisional document! The FP Nr. does not appear to match anything that belonged to 4 SS Polizei Division...nor do I recognise the signature as that of a Commander!

Anything else with this or is it a single document?

Just the single document... I've just dug it out of a pile of stuff I've not looked at for years..

I thought I'd do a little research as I was a little suspect too.. Thus far I've found that during early '43 certain elements were transferred to a Panzer group and the rest formed the 4th SS Polizei Grenadier Div.. So, if they were renamed 4. SS GR. Div in early 43, why would the doc still show him as a member of the 4.SS pol. Div, in December?? Unless he received the EK2 during the action against the Soviet 2nd Army (Feb '43) and only received his doc later that year due to the reformation of his div'....But then there's, as you say, the signature??

A mystery to be solved.. or bog paper?

Thank goodness I only take a fleeting interest in the ole paperwork.. I take my hat off to you guys..
          Warmest Regards ... John
