who was awarded the Luftwaffe Honor Goblet in 1942.

No Alfred Burger listed in either of the works on ehrenpokal winners. There is however a feldwebel Anton Burger listed with a date of 20.04.42

The owner of Honor Goblet is Berger and not Burger. A small but significant difference.

In the book Klaus D. Patzwall / der Ehrenpokal für besondere Leistungen im Luftkrieg on S.49 :

Berger, Alfred Ofw Beobachter 11.05.1942

The difference with the date is ok. The date published in the textbook is the date of publication in the "Luftwaffen-Verordnungsblatt". There may well be a few days difference between the date and publication of the certificate and the trophy.

This is the only info I can find in the loss returns for an Alfred Berger....he is a Beobachter which fits. His pilot was a Ritterkreuzträger
