    Some Information About Ludendorff Bridge

After visiting Remagen and the museum in the western tower of the former Ludendorff Bridge, I began to read about the things happenned on those days. Although I could find information about some important personalities about that battle, I was unsuccessful about two people.

One of them is Pionierhauptmann Karl Friesenhahn who was initially responsible for the demolition of the bridge. The other one is Feldwebel Anton Faust who volunteered to leave the tunnel under Erpeler Ley to manually light the primer cord to the explosives attached to the eastern pier when the electrical circuit that goes to the explosives in the bridge didn't work (He ran 82 metres through the small arms fire, exploding tank shells, smoke, and haze, lit the primer, and ran back to the tunnel).

Any information or photos will be helpful..
