It is on a ID disc. Where were they? Who were they?

Hello Terry.

Per Tessin: Grenadier Ersatz Bataillon 163 (here 2.Stamm Kompanie Grenadier Ersatz Bataillon 163) provided replacement personnel for the 52.Inf.Div. and was stationed in Kassel as of Aug.1943.
