LSSAH Untersturmführer Wolfgang Jugler - information needed

Hello. While doing research on LSSAH Untersturmführer Wolfgang Jugler, I ran into the following article (unfortunately it is just in Spanish language available):

    http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfgang_Jugler

The article says that Jugler was head of Hitlers personal life guards.

Another article (in English language) says the same:

    http://www.operationlastchance.org/ARTICLES_145-98.htm

"Attending the funeral of Otto Remer in Marbella were Honsik and another important former SS member, Wolfgang Jugler, who was the last head of the First SS Adolf Hitler Bodyguard Company and who had also lived in Marbella. He is now aged 85."

    Can that be confirmed?

    Regards

Thanks Ian. But for me it is most important to find out if he really was the last one in charge of AHs personal life guards.

Best would be to ask him in person as he probably is still alive, residing in Marbella, Spain.

        Hi M.

The 'bodyguard' expression can not be taken face value imo.
Especially no so for the 1./LSSAH when Jugler was part of it.

Wolfgang had a fun licence plate on his car reading 'LAH-1'
        if I'm not mistaking!

Let me see if I can call him next week. I have his fon number
in my archive, along with several postwar photos.

        Cheers!

You always find a way to surprise (and impress) me. Would like to peek in that address book.

I'm gonna drop you a personal line as well.

You just put a smile on my face while racing home
to watch the U-17 soccer match Germany vs. Mexico
              tonight...

Jugler is only one name in my address book of about
              50 - 70 from the 1. Kompanie LSSAH alone!

Always glad to help, time allowing!

I didn't even know that that many of them are still alive. But they are of a different stamp.
I've watched the movie "Hafners Paradise" a couple of days ago and was impressed how fit SS officer Paul Maria Hafner was in his mid-80s.
                Unfortunately he died in 2010.

P.S.: Wem drückst du die Daumen? Ist etwas zwiespältig, oder?

                  Halftime: Germany 1 : Mexico 1

Honestly, I have no clue who is still alive of them.

Some are top fit and pass from one day to another.
That's the way it goes sometimes.

Geee Mexico won 3:2 against Germany..!

Now the finale against Uruguay on Sunday.

Regarding Jugler: Let me try and post a photo
of him from the postwar years. Let me also check
if he received the honor ring of the Truppenkameradschaft
                    der 1. Kompanie.

I think I have him on a reunion video as well, but that's
                    impossible to post unfortunately.

                    Cheers!

A quick look into the files tells me Jugler, Wolfgang was awarded the Honor Ring (99.) of the 1./"LSSAH" Truppenkameradschaft in 1989.

His ringsize was 22 mm (8/41), to be precise.
