Formed 1.4.39 in Straubing as Schule/FAR.53 (from parts of FFS E (A/B) Lachen-Speyersdorf), and was attached to Flieger-Ausbildungs-Regiment 53.
Gave up some aircraft and personnel to Flugzeugführerschule A/B 5 (FFS A/B 5) during 1940.
On 18.3.41 redesignated Flugzeugführerschule A/B 122 (FFS A/B 122).
Used the following aircraft: Ar 68, Ar 96, Bü 131, Fw 44, Fw 58, Go 145 and He 72
