Hi all. My wife's grandfather was Hans Albert Hoose, he was a radio mechanic in the Luftwaffe. As an obergefreiter, I believe in II/KG 55 (but I am not sure on this) on the southern end of the Russian front in 1943, he was seriously wounded and sent to a hospital near Schweidnitz-Schleisen. From there he was sent to Holland and spent the remainder of the war as a switchboard operator at a Luftwaffe headquarters. He died in 1999, and I wish I had asked him more questions. Anyone with info about him, please PM me. Thanks!
This portrait of him was taken shortly before he was wounded. After that, he is wearing an EK 2 ribbon and a black wound badge in all his photos.
