No one has anything? I thought GD would be pretty easy to research. My father has a set of maps belonging to this officer, so just trying to find out more about him.

There were thousands of officers in and out of the Division during its existence. Usually only high award holders or higher ranked individuals ie. Major+ are very easy to find. You can try to find his files in NARA by hiring a researcher or look through GD histories in the Pioniere sections of the books. Sometimes there will be a group photo or brief mention etc. Someone may have additional info. Good luck.

Ok, thanks...I thought that perhaps because it was a well known / well researched unit and he was Ing. it might be a shorter list. If anyone comes across anything, please let me know.

Ing. is basically the title (ingenieur) for someone with a +-Masters degree in Engineering and State certifacation. It might be in his service file but would not be used as a title for all documents.
