Soviet Guards units in Vienna 1945

Hi Guys, can anyone advise me which Soviet Guards units fought in Austria in 1945 and continued on there as occupation troops until at least 1947?
I have just bought a photo album of some 55 pictures of a Soviet private soldier hence my request? I have tried searching the web without much luck.
    Many thanks!
    Cheers, Ade.

Hi Christoph, thank you very much for your detailed answer.
I will scan a few pics and post them later tonight. Most, I think, are of famous landmarks in Vienna.
      Cheers, Ade.

            Vienna indeed!

(zither version of "The Blue Danube," theme music of movie "The Third Man")

Orson Welles was up in that ferris wheel with Joseph Cotten.

            And that's the Schönbrunn Palace.

Hi Rick, yes the "Third man " indeed. Half the lads in the group were whistling the tune as we looked at the album

Have a look at this pic. I like the "Victory" banner. Any ideas as to the uniformed man on the right? He appears to wear a red/white armband, which I guess represents the Austrian national colours. The collar tabs have rank stars of pre anschluss Austrian Army. Is he some kind of anti-Nazi partizan? The Red Army soldiers do not seem interested in him?
Sorry the scan is not great.
              Cheers, Ade.
