It is kind of frustrating to see a nice and very useful topic (at least to me) turned into a pathetic exchange of offenses or simply a thread about "who is alive to sign a picture", "where is he living?" and so on.

I really hope to have this topic back on its tracks again, avoiding its closure by some of the Moderators. So much effort to be lost by childish actions.

fortunately that's not true.


here is what uploaded in his FB Timeline on May 3.

"There are some reports circulating that Kurt Sametreiter passed away today. I am very happy to report that this is not the case. Upon reading the reports, I phoned him straight away. He is alive and sounding very good. He was amused to hear of the news, but is hoping to be with us for a while longer!"

many present generations can't read veteran's old script -as I know, even Present generations Germans too-, and I can't posting RKT's answers-what I have and what I need help to read- in now.

Had a call from Herr Sametreiter this evening (18th June), so he is still very much with us and sounded good.
