Today I received a package from Eichenlaubträger Heinz Rökker.

Last week I did send his book to him and he returned it to me with his personally signature.

Before I did send the book to him he told me on the phone that he can't write anymore due to pulled tendon in his arm but he said that a short signature will be possible :-) He is 92 years old.

Can you post a photo of the book?
Is it only in German language?

I think I can't post it because I am not yet a supporter.

As far as I know it is available in German only. He wrote two books. The first includes his personally war memories and the second one is the chronicle of his unit N.J.G. 2 (Nachtjagdgeschwader 2). I have the book with his memories.

            Hey guys,

I thought maybe some of you would be interested in seeing this.
Some scans of Mr.Duiker his book.
Since the most of you can't read dutch and won't buy the book, I have made some scans for you.

George and his crew on a T34 ( George on the right )

            George shooting a scoped K98

            George at a field shift

Meeting with SS-Obersturmbahnfuhrer Kiss ( George 3rd from the right with his hand in the air )

George after his exam, promoted to SS-Standartenjunker

            George as a SS-Standartenoberjunker

George on the ski's in Sankt Anton

George during his time at SS-Junkerschule Tolz

George during his recovering ''holiday'' 1942

Heavily packed long distance marches at Heuberg

            George after the war.
There is only 3 years between these 2 pictures, so you can clearly see how the war has aged him!

George his brother Wim Duiker, died at the age of only 18 on the 6th of january 1943 at Simowniki.

There are some more pictures, but these are the nicest.
            I hope you enjoy!

            Kind regards,

            Laurens

That's really nice of you! Do you maybe have a short summary of his military career?

                                I got a bad news
Seems that Herr Alois Schnaubelt joined his old comrades on 11 December 2012.That's what is written on his Wikipedia page, but I can't find any other kind of information to prove it or not.
