    Information on 755 pioneer Battalion

    Hi,

Does anyone have any information on Pioneer Battalion 755? I'm specifically looking from any information on its activities in 1944-45. Thanks in advance for any assistance.WR Jim

    Hi Jim,

Something like this, or is this too simple?

Formed 1944 in Army District VI. Active service under Heeresgruppe B Ardennes and Eifel.1945 disbanded and all personnel transferred to Pionier-Bataillon 52 (most probably Festungs-Pionier-Bataillon 52, 1945 active in the lower Rhine area (Krefeld) and surrendered in Essen-Werden.)

      Hi Peter,

Thank you very much. Is there any additional information on their service when they were a part of HG B in the Ardennes/Eifel? What type of engineer unit they were ie Construction etc. I understand if there isn't.

I really appreciate the information you did provide.

      WR Jim

        Hello Jim,

I have no further information of this unit. Always difficult when you have units operating directly under higher Army Command. And because it was only active during the battle in the Ardennes (and retrieval to the Eifel area) there is probably no book of this unit. But perhaps someone else on the forum knows more about the unit or has some original documents (Wehrpass Soldbuch etc.) of this unit.

          Peter,

Thank you. I figured information on such an obscure unit would be scarce. WR Jim
