    Latvian SS Legionaire information needed

    I have a friend who is married to a US citizen who's partents immigrated to the USA in 1950. Her father was an Officer with the Waffen-SS Latvian Legionaires. I loaned her the book "Lavtian Legionaires" and in it she learned a lot in relation to where and with whom her father served. Unfortunately the subject of the second world war was not spoken of at home and she would like to know more about her fathers service. If anyone can help me (us) we would be very grateful. All I can give you is his name, which is ALFRED SMALKAIS.
