Greek Islands Symi & Nisyros death cards research
I've started collecting some death cards from Greek islands, but have had some difficulty with research on a couple of the lesser known islands: Symi and Nisyros. Has anybody got more information or resources when it comes to identifying the units of the below two soldiers? I'd certainly appreciate any help in research.
1. Englbert Birndorfner - Sturmbootfuehrer in an LP company. What is an LP company? From what I have gathered, killed on 11th of February 1945 on the island of Nisyros (volksbund). A raid by the Greek Sacred Squadron took place on the 12th of February, but I can't seem to find much information regarding the 11th.

2. Josef Hickmann. Obergefreiter in a Grenadier regt who died on Symi, 16th July 1944. The card states that he died in a tragic accident, however the dates coincide with a British/Greek Raid on Symi which took place from 13-15 July. I have the card of his brother Alois also, however there is no information on the volksbund regarding Josef.
