Can anyone tell me who the Battalion Commander was of 1./SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 7 was.

He has signed a Vorschlagsliste document dated 10.Januar 1944 as SS Hauptsturmführer und Btl.-Führer

If he signed it as 'Führer' that meant he was not really the Commander, but acting as such. If I remember correctly, the term 'Führer' was used for someone in the position who is not fully qualified.

The SS Pz Gren Regt 7 was part of the 4th SS Polizei Panzer Grenadier Division
at about the 1944 time frame.

Yes, I did know, but appreciate your input. I think that the Battalion CO was SS-Hstuf.Karl Haller, but does not appear to be his signature on the document.
