      not the best photos, but imo it's an original unworn badge; the eagle on these become grey incredibly quickly when out of the box for the first time
      the badge should have a protective lacquer on it, I can't see it with these photos

              Nice original later-war Assmann Para. Juan hits the nail on the head with the classification system used in the book, textbook Type "H".

                I missed the "1" on the wreath until it was pointed out by Juan and Tom. Neat feature! Thank you for the information regarding the badge! Much Appreciated!

                  Type numbered "1" with flat large rivets like the type numbered "2", it happens sometimes
                  It's possible to find some around unworn like this; the grey color of the eagle is correct, someone tried to search for the gilding scratching the backplate, but when this badge is not kept in case, the gilding is absorbed instantly!
