Case for bomber clasp with "special g"

    Hi all,

I wonder why the use of the "special g"? Is this case earlier than the cases with the "normal g" or connected to a certain case maker or clasp maker?
The clasp is by maker Osang.

Very interesting. And look at the two "ff's" at Kampfflieger. Both different to distinguish the Flieger portion. The F in Flieger is more of a Sutterlin S than an F.

Very nice case and more uncomon with that G. Hard to say if they are later or earlier,

        Hi Brian,

I didn´t even notice the difference in the ff, because I was focussed on the g. Online I found another one for a Gold clasp and again a Osang was inside.

              Hi Thomas,

Great question, one I have been wondering about myself for a while now. I have several of these "omega symbol" cases on file and most have unmarked Juncker clasps that came with them. But one RSS and also one with no clasp in it, and now yours with an Osang! So there is not real rhyme or reason yet we can point to a certain maker with this cae unfortunately.

But you have a great case there, and clasp is gorgeous!

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

i doubt Juncker or Osang MADE the cases.

                Sourced from a vendor.

To say a case is ONLY for this mfg is very misleading.

is it known which producer/company produced those cases, and for example the EK1, Pilotabzeichen, ROAG cases ?

                  Was it one producer ?

Probably several or a few box producers. I am not entirely convinced the "Deumer" case is only for Deumer. Just because we find Deumers in them in 2017 does not preclude a Juncker connection.

I would guess the boxes and the printing could also be done independently of each other. This poor printer ran out of "f'"s.

                      Hi all

Just for reference, here is another example of this case type from my collection; this time with an unmarked Juncker inside. The certificate is just for background context and is not directly connected to the badge or case.

                      Best wishes
                      Tim O.

                        Hi Tom,

Thanks for your reply. That rules out the use by just one single clasp maker.

Have you seen the "omega symbol" only on bomber clasp case or also on other cases? have you also seen a Bronze version, as I have only seen Silber and Gold examples so far.

                        Regards, Thomas

                          Hi Brian,

I'm not saying that the makers of clasps and badges also made the cases for them. But like Chris I also wonder what is known about the makers of the cases or the proces in which these cases were produced and printed.

I have asked this question before with other cases and the answers are backed by the experiences people made with these case. That does not mean that another maker can not have used these cases. But often we can only go with the experiences made by others.
