        Good RK with replaced hinge and pin. Some rivets might have been messed as well.

            Hi Mark,

            I agree with Seb, the badge is original. I also think the hinge is original, but only the pin is replaced. Sometime late in the war, RK's crimping tool apparently malfunctioned and they had to resort to soldering on the hinges, its something we've seen before so I feel its perfectly original to the badge.

                Hi Mark,

                Yep! I agree with Tom D. The pin is the only thing that is replaced. The hinge is original, but was soldered on instead of being crimped in.

                  I always tought these soldered hinge RK was always grinded to remove the ecxess from the crimped hinge by the factory. Learn something new here today.
