    help needed => BSW Beobachter wanted

    Hello,

    Who can show me Lw.-Beobachterabz. made by the BSW company?

    I am looking after the details of the wreath, a 57 badge came my way and i am curious to see if the wreaths where used after the war also !!

    Cordial greetings,

      BSW badges

      Hello Richard,

      Neither did i but i am curious to see if such badges are going arround?

      I do strongly believe that 57 pieces (as for example the glider badge) are used to make fake's. In the case of the glider badge the eagle can serve very well and interesting observation in this proces is that there are fake badge's with the very same eagle as found on 57 awards with the following makers mark added :

      * C.E. Juncker
      * A.G.M.u.K

      I am pretty convinced that quite a few (so called original) glider badges are in fact 57 eagle's that are placed upon a swas. wreath and sold as originals !!!

      These 57 eagle's are then again based upon the eagle's of the original Juncker pieces but do not come near in any way (as for the detail, etc .. ) and do show a cruder appearance.

      More to follow ...

      Cordial greetings,

        the 57 eagle

        Hello,

        Here is the 57 piece that i am referring towards => it is probably made by the BSW company.

        Interesting thing however with this type of eagle is that this company certainly did not use its wartime eagle's, in that they are way to different. (see therefore picture nr. 2)

        The company did probably use a original Juncker made wartime piece as example and produced a eagle that did become close from far but not when compared into detail.

              fake juncker

              Hello,

              Nothing much to be confused about => in the thread below is a fake Juncker with this type of eagle.

              The eagle on the 57 badge is made of zink, etc ... and i can imagine iff you have never held a original glider badge (and in accordance can not compare the quality and what to look for) that you do believe it is a good piece.

              check out this thread: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=82149

              This type of fake is not the most dangerous arround and the fakers have made quite a bit mistakes in this one.

              So guys iff this type of eagle appears on a so called wartime piece => look at it but in the end walk away from it

              Cordial greetings,
