                Hi Merdock,

to me the box looks ok. A pity the title has been scratched of.
IMO the badge is an original but the eagle has been removed at sometime, new gold plated and then, rather roughly, reattached. I have seen some bodgy riveting on late war badges but not this bad.
BTW can you do just straight on front and back shots and not all these flashy angles.

                  Hi

Skip ,the eagle is not as bright as the pic's also it looks brighter as the wreath appears to be blackened?it's not the 1st black wreathed one in a vets hans iv'e seen the other i did not get and that was about 25 years ago. so the contrast is exteame don't think the eagles been off was probably made Friday p.m. .
                  Thanks Merdock

                      Para qual badge box

The box is good, it's a small stem apex catch (it look's a tad worn down though) which being the thin stem is ok to have an apex catch head. Fine for this box, and not unusual to find on the balsa wood/carboard base types.....can be found others too though

Hey Skippy you bugger you've one or two or three of these yourself mate.

Oh yes that's fine, very thin and delicate.....I call it balsa wood, it reminds of the planes I had when a kid....best description I can think of. Thin cardboard is fine and good too.

You'll find the balsa bases more often on the EK range though (not to say bases and boxes weren't swopped around at times and a Luft covering on an EK box and base can be found.

Yours is a big box, so I was saying for inclusion in the last paragraph about the EK bit.

Your para badge box is genuine without a doubt
