    Osang Paratrooper Badge Question

I had posted this on another forum here and was told to move it to this forum. My question is about the color of the wreath. Why is it silver instead of dark or has it been cleaned at one time. The man I got it from had taken it to a coin store and the idiot dropped acid on the back to test for gold!! The Osang TM is stamped light on one side, otherwise the badge is nice.

Ron, the color of the wreath is fine and it has the typical apperance of the zinc material it is made out of. Paratrooper badge wreaths do range from silver to dark, almost black but that is dependent on the finish used by the maker and what metal it was made from.

Yours looks fine and fortunately the moron did not do to much damage with the acid.
