I can't tell Brian I never have one in hand. I take Silver words for that. The inside structure is so different from the other case and the grey cardboard, the blue color to the silk inside does not match original case, the hinge cover and the case pattern are for me red flags. I do agree the glue color is very convincing but it surely easy to fake IMO. I have handle a lot of cases for my collection, play with hundred of pictures and scans for the DB and these one just don't look right to me.

Last time Timmler was here we made some horse glue. Not as easy as you would think.

I had an extremely battered and worn pilot badge case of this type from a very old US collection- 1960's or before. These are ok in my opinion.

That adhesive has the same apperance of dried 3M weatherstrip adhesive. It feels somewhat rubbery when it dries. The original mucilage glue hardened and usually cracked with age. Without seeing it in hand, it's a difficult call.

As stated this isn't the brain pattern and is a fake.

              Hi Guys,

thank you for your almost ' sophisticated ' efforts/work in order

to Id this very particular case !

I'm better prepared for future purchases !

Would you see a chance to return the case ?

              Faithfully yours

For me complete crap. This is not the "brain pattern" case. If you have it in hand you can feel the materials of these cases don't match any TR case.
                  Kind regards,
                  Giel

I guess I'll have to wait for the next big show to see one of these "originals" in hand
