Hello Andy, If you type "clasp and FLL" in the search function you will find examples that match yours perfectly. This type of clasp was attributed to FLL in 2007 by Jeff V from the Netherlands based upon the hinge and catch of an example that matched a FLL Close Combat Clasp. The example under study had a different pin and hinge set-up than yours but had that distinctive rivet among other things.

What caught my eyes on this was that the eagle device obviously looks zinc and most often these are found in tombac even on zinc badges. But going through some old threads I see other examples by this maker that look to be zinc as well. Good to know. Off the top of my head I can't think of other clasps with zinc attachments but I guess they are out there. That might lead one to speculate this is a later example. The bronze finish is holding up pretty well and looks very coppery.

            Hi Andy,

As the others have said, a fine original by FLL. The coppery finish is typical of FLL Transporters, here is one of mine.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
