Times have changed when it comes to cases, in the early days we just put them on fire, guys didn't fly with a case around the badge, cases were just disposable items then..

Can't follow collectors exactly though, a badge came in a case, then got separated and is joined together 70 years later, so there's a expensive badge and a expensive, but not the actual case .. Tadaaa ! We've a winner !

Now there's a helmet, liner was taken out some day, now joined together, large drop in value and a lot of no no's ..

A dagger, a jacket etc .., all no no's when put together again ..

It' s just a observation ..and in the light of that badge collector's should be more critical when it comes to " collector's rules " and don't pay ridiculous prices for empty cases..
Rule is, the original badge is missing, it's just a empty case and not " da case " ..
Think you guys are paying and are willing to pay way too much for just a empty case, guess dealers love you people more than their own wifes ..

Nevertheless great, desirable clasps and cases !

          Jos.

Where do you think the phrase, "Don't ask don't tell" came from?"

Thanks Gents they are nice but what they represent is amazing...I like them more than a pilot badge for that reason.
